The M1 Garand was a US made rifle that used 7.620 mm caliber full metal jacket rounds and could be used many different ways on the battlefield. For example, if you had the right scope, the weapon could then be used as a sniper rifle instead a standard rifle. The standard mag held 8 rounds of ammunition. Every time a clip was emptied the gun would make a clink sound which was then turned into a battle tactic. The soldiers would replicate the sound by taking an empty clip and clanging it against his helmet then his enemy would pop up, thinking it was the sound of reloading. The soldier then killed the enemy. The M1 garand was the first semi-automatic rifle.
